National Library of Australia
At the National Library of Australia in Canberra, Bianco Cattani® marble becomes both institutional material and symbolic presence: a luminous skin capable of updating classical language with a contemporary expression.
For this restoration project, rigorous control was required, with testing carried out on every single marble block destined for the external cladding – yielding extremely positive results thanks to the unique physical and mechanical properties of our material.
The choice arose from a concrete need: the marble previously used showed advanced deterioration, making it necessary to select a product suitable for long-term exposure to the elements.
Over 5,000 sqm of Bianco Cattani® were supplied for the interventions and future developments. An architectural skin conceived to endure and represent, ensuring chromatic uniformity and consistent quality.
A marble of eternal presence.
